Long time no post. Just a reaction to the article on Library 2.0/tip of the iceberg. Our collections begin to reflect change in customer use or lack of use. Old no longer equates with value. While I think that we have always 'taught', we are becoming better and more subtle teachers, showing more and lecturing less. And point 3, more and more we go to our customers, whether it's roaming the stacks or taking a van full of books to an apartment complex or answering a 24/7 question. Wherever we need to be - that's where the library will go.
